Since 1994, this 72 years old respected french deputy, member of the french right wing party Les Republicains and Vice-president of the EPP (European People's Party), goes back and forth between Bruxelles and Strabourg, following the european's parliament.
Respected and recognized as on of the most hard working depute, we followed 15 days before her retirement. After 5 mandates, she witnessed the changement from the Europe of the 12 to the Europe of the 28, the birth of the Euro, but also the rise of nationalism among europe and the growing mistrust of the citizens towards the europeans institutions. beetween the meeting, debate vote and reunions with the party, she spends a lot of time working with her to vital assistants. In her big trunk, that she calls "Cantine" all of her files that the staff moves from Strasbourg to Bruxelles. She is now afraid that after years of secondary role, the nationalists find in theses upcoming elections a way to get seats in the parlements and put pressure on the adoption of sensitive laws.
